One Day Trip to J-Town!

Monday, February 13, my close friend Aulia Fasya asked me to do one day trip to Jakarta by train on Wednesday, sounds nice! We talked about it via Yahoo! Messenger and asked our friends to join, but sadly, they rejected it, but it's okay ;) well, one of Fasya's friends named Irvan Kurnia Anantasena a.k.a Beben  told her that he wanted to join us. I never knew about Beben before, so Fasya asked me to add Beben's Yahoo id. Then again, on Monday night, Beben sent me a message via Whatsapp messenger. Then me, Fasya, and Beben had a conversation on Whatsapp. We talked about our one day trip to Jakarta. We decided to meet up on the next day, on Makan-makan Cafe then bought the tickets. Yeaaaay! So, on the next day, we met up, lunch together, then Beben went to Train Station to bought us tickets, then he went back to Makan-makan Cafe and gave us the tickets.

The Tickets

We went to Jakarta on Wednesday morning at 6:30 am. Oh you know, I was so excited to go to Jakarta with my best best friend, Fasya and also with my new friend, Beben (Fyi, Beben is a nice guy, I think. He has a high sense of humor!) by train. I went to Jakarta by train on the last 10 years, been a very loooong time, right? I sat on the same seat with Fasya, and Beben sat beside our seat. We killed our time by SLEEPING! Then when we opened our eyes, we saw our watch, yuppp it was 10 am, aaaaaaah feels like I wanna shout "HELLO JEKARDAAAAAAAH HERE WE AAAAARE"! :D
Okay, so, we went to outside of the Gambir station, looking for some places, and Beben said that he was hungry and he had to charge his phone. So we stayed at a small canteen in front of Gambir station for a little while. After that, we went to MONAS! (Fyi, Monas means "Monumen Nasional" or "National Monument". The best part of Monas is it is topped by a flame covered with gold foil.) The weather was sooooooooo hawt! Fyuuuuh. Fasya decided to wear her umbrella, look at her:

So, we decided to get in. We should buy a ticket though, Rp 7.500 for one person. Okay, after bought 3 tickets, we get in. On the outer yard encircling the monument, on each four corners, there are high reliefs of Indonesian History:

There's a museum inside Monas named Indonesian National History Museum. There's 48 dioramas along the walls side depicting scenes from the Indonesian history from prehistory until the New Order. Oh there's 3 other dioramas in the center of the room, so there's 51 dioramas. I took some pictures of those dioramas:

and we also took ourselves' pictures by a self-timer mode on my camera:

I took a picture of Fasya too:

After that we went to the peak platform observation deck of Monas. We went there by an elevator. The capacity of the elevator is about 11 people.  We bought a ticket though, Rp 3.500 for one person (it's because we're students). The top platform can accommodate about 50 people, and also provided with binoculars. There is also a staircase for use in emergencies. From this 115 meter-high platform, we can look out over central Jakarta. Here we are:

Then we went back to the museum by elevator though and by staircases then.

Awkay, our next destination was "KOTA TUA". We decided to go there by Transjakarta Bus. Someone told me that we should cross the road in front of Monas first to get the Transjakarta Bus. But we didn't find any bus station near Monas. We walked together and I thought there was an awkward moment when suddenly we asked a police with a car to tell us where the station of Transjakarta Bus is, but he just told us to walk away and we'll find a "Harmoni" bus station then. Yeah, we walked, walked, and walked, but there was no "Harmoni" station. Aaaaah damn you police! The weather was so hot and my head was in pain. But it didn't stop me to find "Harmoni" bus station. We walked for about 30 minutes and finally, we found it. #yeayness we bought 3 tickets then, just Rp 3.500 for one ticket. Then we waited the Transjakarta Bus to come..

"Harmoni" station

Ugh you know, the Transjakarta Bus was full of people inside. We didn't get any seat so we stood up together in the bus. But after waited for a little while, we got our seat. Fyuuuh finally.
Okay, then we stopped on "Kota" station. We walked around the station and we found a Kota Tua map..

We went to "MUSEUM BANK MANDIRI" near the Kota station first. We shouldn't buy a ticket to get in, we got in for free, it's because we're students. Yay! I fell in love with this museum. I love the old displays and furnitures. Aaaaaah, you should go there someday, and you'll fall in love with this place too!

that one is funny, Ben!

we were so hungry and we decided to find some cafe or canteen on Kota Tua. On our way, we found a sandals seller. And you know what? Beben stopped there and he wanted to buy a pair of sandal with a brown feather hahaha here he is:

sadly, the sandals didn't fit with his feet. Poor Beben :(

So, we found one (not-too-big) canteen named "Mega Rasa". We had our lunch together then. Beben and Fasya ordered "Nasi ayam kremes" and I ordered "Nasi ayam goreng mentega". Nyaaam nyaaaam! The taste of the foods is good I think. After we finished our meals, we stayed there for a little while to charged our phones' battery and took a rest..

the old building near Mega Rasa

Beben wanted to go to "Museum Wayang". So we went there at 3 pm..

soooooooo sad, the museum closed at 3pm. We went to another museums but all of the museums on Kota Tua closed at 3pm. Dafuq! What did we do next? We just walked around Kota Tua.. Bored.

for rent

Beben played with his phone, then suddenly he asked me and Fasya to go to SeaWorld at Ancol. He searched some information about the ticket price on Google. We must pay Rp 50.000 to get in. After me and Fasya agreed, we went to Transjakarta Bus station near Museum Bank Mandiri first. Our destination was "Harmoni" station, then "Senen" station. "Harmoni" and "Senen" station are two transit places. We should stop in Harmoni then we take another bus to Senen. We stop in Senen, then we take another bus to Ancol. That was our very first time to visit some places by Transjakarta Bus. We made a little mistake at "Harmoni" station. What was that? We bought 3 tickets on "Harmoni" station. Then, a man asked us why did we buy 3 tickets on this station. We didn't understand what he means. He explained to us that if we buy ticket on the first station, then we transit on the next station, we don't need to buy ticket anymore. All we have to do is waiting for the next bus that will take us to the place we want. Hahaha stupid us! We didn't know about it before, seriously! Aaaah thank you sir, you're a good man, you really are.

we wasted our money for these tickets hahaha

We arrived at Ancol at 4:30 pm. We bought tickets first, Rp 15.000 for one person. Then we waited for a free bus. That free bus took us to SeaWorld then. Beben told us that a ticket window at SeaWorld close at 5pm. So, Beben ran to a ticket window to buy us 3 tickets, and luckily, he got it! Happyyyyyyyyyy! Then we had soooooo much fun at SeaWorld..

What did we do then? We decided to go to Gambir station. Our train will go at 8:25 pm. We walked out to find a free bus. Suddenly, Beben saw an unique phone station and he wanted me to take his picture:

Fasya wanted me to take her picture, too

We saw a free bus near the phone station, so we got in to a bus. Fyi, a free bus in Ancol was so comfortable..

We took a looong journey. From Ancol to Senen, from Senen to Harmoni, and from Harmoni to Gambir. Fyuuuuh! We went to Indomaret first, to bought mineral water and medicine, then we went to toilet. After that we went to second floor of Gambir station, we waited for the train to come..

When the train came to the station, we get in and searched our seat. Theeeeeen, we took some pictures of us inside the train. It was supeeeer fun!

Goodbye Jakarta! We had so much fuuuuuuun! Thank you Fasya and Beben for the trip. I love spending time together with you two :) our next trip is YOGYAKARTAAAAAAA! So, Yogyakarta, please wait for us to coooooooome! :D
